Cameras on cellphones are getting much better and you may find these photos adequate. However, if you’re after the highest quality photo and particularly if you’d like to create a large print, then choosing to work with us will provide the best results. Not to mention, getting that perfect ‘selfie’ can be really hard so it helps to have someone else behind the camera.
We use a professional camera with top quality lenses and studio lighting to get the best quality photographs with lots of detail that look amazing both on screen or when printed in large format.
Our equipment and process is all colour managed. Our camera and computer monitors are colour calibrated and we work with professional photo laboratories that colour calibrate their printers also so you can be sure the final printed product you get from us looks natural and a true representation of you and/or your pets.
We offer high quality printed products and use our experience and expertise to oversee the entire process from capturing amazing photographs to delivering a printed product you’ll truly treasure and will last a lifetime.

We have a process to help your pet slowly get used to the studio equipment. Most pets are not particularly bothered by the flash of the lights however, if they are clearly distressing your pet, then we can switch to using a constant light source which should not be distressing for them at all.

We have lots of different tricks we can use to help gain your pets attention and keep them engaged with the photoshoot however sometimes we just have to be patient and roll with it a bit. If your pet is getting bored or needs a break we’ll accommodate this. Although we have a time limit on our sessions, we always allow a bit of extra time in case it’s needed. That being said, sometimes keeping the session short works better for certain pets and we can still capture a bunch of amazing photographs. So don’t worry - we’re flexible and will work with you and your pet to make sure it’s an enjoyable experience for all.

Yes please! You know your pet best and can help with posing them and getting them to look at the camera (we have a few tricks we can show you). However, sometimes it works better if it’s just your dog and the photographer in the room so they can focus more easily on the camera. We’ll judge this and work with you to capture some amazing photographs.

Our standard set-up is about 3m x 3m so should easily fit in most large living rooms or garages. If space is an issue please get in touch and I’m sure we can come up with a solution!

Yes! We offer white, grey or black backgrounds. Because we use studio lighting, we can make any dog (even a black one) stand out on a black background to create a dramatic portrait. Please note, the lighting setup differs significantly between a black background and a white one so preferably you will chose one ‘look’ for the photoshoot or we allow extra time to change setups.

We offer digital copies of photos with our watermark on as part of all of our packages. These are lower resolution files that you can download and share via email or social media and look great on screens. However they are not full-resolution print ready files so won’t look that good if you tried to have them printed. If you would like to have any of the photos printed we can arrange this for you to ensure you get the best quality prints and most accurate colours.

With our mobile studio, we can photograph 2 large dogs next to each other or 2-3 smaller dogs. If you have more pets or a specific idea, please reach out to discuss! We can also take separate pictures of your pets and combine them in Photoshop for a unique print.
